First Nations writer Larry Loyie. A wonderful story of a way of life.

the benefits of literacy training. Dedicated to learners and workers
in this province’s literacy programs. Contains remarkable learner

Kit (2003) Part of the government’s
plan to help Ontario’s children get a strong start so they’re
ready to learn once they begin school. Includes a book by award-winning
author, Barbara Reid, a video, a CD or audiocassette and a passport
to store records like immunization cards. Designed to encourage parents
and caregivers to read to their children right from birth. The Northern
Edge, Online newspaper A new resource
for adult literacy learners, launched in February, 2003. An interactive
online newspaper that has articles and online language quizzes written
at a level and in a style that is accessible to a range of learners.
Learners can hear the articles read to them and they can read along
following the text as it is highlighted in blue. |
