Sample Statements

All board members are expected to perform to consistent standards. Each member will be subject to a confidential peer review annually.

Since board members operate as a group, the overall board performance will be evaluated annually.

Procedures might include:

• Each board member will complete a survey assessing board performance.
• All written goals and objectives will be reviewed to determine accomplishments.
• The board will set specific indicators of success (i.e., turnout at meetings, agendas received on time, decisions carried out, etc.) for review and comparison each year.

Meeting Cancellation

Sample Statements

Meetings can only be cancelled with the agreement of a majority of board members.Wherever possible, a minimum of three day’s notice should be given for any change or cancellation of the meeting.

In the event of unforseen weather conditions, the board chairperson has the right to cancel the meeting.

Meetings may be cancelled by the board Chair if a quorum is not present.
