   Only one answered “yes” and the remainder indicated “no.”

3. Has your municipality previously conducted an employee literacy study?

   None indicated that they had conducted such a study.

4. Has your municipality previously conducted a community literacy study?

   None indicated that they had conducted such a study.

5. If you answered “no” to questions 3 and 4, would you be prepared to conduct such a study?

   One answered “yes” for technical competencies, while eight others indicated that they would be prepared to consider such a study. It should be noted that one respondent indicated a workplace study only, and another mentioned that it would conduct a study only if funds were available.
