Summary

Freewriting, affirmations, and collages have several important virtues. They help learners dream and “go beyond” what they thought were their limits. They also utilize the multiple intelligences, which are crucial for reaching all learners in the classroom. Finally, they help to establish a safe and sacred community in which the women can feel comfortable to explore their sense of self and sense of place. In the following chapter, I will consider the aspects of a sacred space that continue to “bring the whole person to learning.”
