Unique Features of the Program: While the program is not exclusively an Aboriginal program, staff report that a higher number of Aboriginal youth do access the services. At Rainbow, youth can receive help without risking labeling or stigmatization. There are several principles of adolescent development that guide the program. Adolescents require skills, appreciation of themselves and a sense of responsibility for their actions. Rainbow works to create opportunities for youth to recognize their self worth.
