Program Mission and Goals: An alternate school within the public school division designed to reach Aboriginal youth at risk.

Program Description: Operated by the Saskatchewan Rivers School Division #119 this program has been in operation since 1993. There are approximately 50 learners, between the ages of 16 and 21, in this program at a time. Almost 100% of the learners are of Aboriginal ancestry. Operating 5 days a week during regular school hours, the program is primarily delivered through small classes but also offers one-on-one tutoring. The program uses curriculum's from Saskatchewan Learning adapted to suit its purposes. Aboriginal values are incorporated into the program and Elders and guest speakers are frequently invited to the program.

  • Basic literacy (level 1)
  • Other credit courses
  • Correspondence courses
  • General Education Diploma (GED)  
  • Intermediate literacy 
  • Computer training
  • Life Skills Upgrading
  • Parenting
