Program Mission and Goals: To provide a holistic literacy program to enhance the education, social and personal growth of participants.

Program Description: This program is overseen by the Prince Albert Youth Council and the Integrated Youth Committee. Participants are youth between the ages 15-24. Approximately 60% of participants are male. 70% of the participants are First Nations, 25% are Metis and 5% are described as other. In existence for approximately four years the program has an enrollment of 12.

The program runs 4 days a week from 10:00 - 3:00 p.m. incorporating the following components:

 
  • Basic literacy
  • Correspondence Courses
  • Intermediate Literacy
  • Computer training
  • Life skills
  • Job Preparation  
  • Sweat lodge 
  • Healing circles
  • Ceremonies of Human Development
  • Elder teaching
